‘Shri Prince Shivaji Maratha Boarding House’ was established by the late Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj in the memory of his beloved son PRINCE SHIVAJI on 1st July 1920. Initially it was totally a free boarding and proved to be a great support, especially to those coming from rural areas to get education. But thereafter the income sources of the boarding went on decreasing but that did not hurt the objective of the boarding. Even today students are enjoying boarding facilities with subsidized fees. Thousands of students have completed their studies, staying in the boarding. Considering the ceaseless efforts of Shri Prince Shivaji Maratha Boarding House for the welfare of the masses, the Government of Maharashtra has honoured our Santha as an Ideal Educational Institution Award.
